Vintage 1950/ 1960 Saks 5th Aveune Halter strap cocktail dress S
Description- This dress is a slip style dress, in a silky nylon acetate blend fabric, not shiny. The cut of the dress is high waisted, with a halter like bodice, and an A-line skirt, with a slight flare. The colors are blues, greens, with accents of of pink , orange, and yellow pastels. All the colors combined create an abstract Monet like watercolor painting, very pretty. The front of the skirt has tiny pleats,and princess darts on the bust to accentuate the figure, has tiny spaghetti straps, that the wearer can choose to wear them or tuck them in to have a more halter cocktail dress. The dress is not lined, the dress made from a silky thin fabric, but very stylish.Very Spring to Summer Dress, or an dress it up with a sweater and heels. A fun classic dress.
Condition- In very good vintage condition.The only flaw is that the spaghetti straps are very thin, and the former owner tried to reinforce them. The straps need to be redone, or completely removed, for an differently look entirely. Also on the hook and eye clasps rust has formed, but not on the fabric.
